Assistant Athletic Director, Athletic Event Operations

Manages event operations for the Athletics Department. Ensures successful Division I event-day operations for athletic events in accordance with Cleveland State University (CSU), NCAA, and league policies. Serves as a liaison with stakeholders to ensure event success, venue safety, and outstanding customer service.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferably in sports management, physical education, or related field.

• Four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in athletic event operations, venue operations, facility management, or event management within collegiate, professional, youth, or community athletics. Experience includes any graduate assistant or internship roles.

• Ability to be flexible regarding daily work schedule, including the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Valid driver’s license and ability to establish and maintain driver eligibility under CSU Driving and Motor Vehicle Policy.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree preferably in sports management, physical education, or related field.

• Leadership experience Leading Division I athletic event operations, with basketball event management experience strongly preferred.
