Athletic Creative Services - Graduate Assistant

The Creighton University Athletic Department is now accepting applications for the position of Creative Services Graduate Assistant within the Creative Services Department. Creighton is located in Omaha, Nebraska and competes with fellow NCAA Division I members of the BIG EAST Conference.

• This position will have an emphasis on Graphic Design and Content Coordination.

• This position reports directly to the Director of Creative Services. The graduate assistant in creative services is expected to maintain office hours while working home athletic events throughout the year. You will be asked to work roughly 29 hours a week.

• This position is expected to work on some evenings and weekends with occasional travel.

• This job is dependent on admission to a graduate program at Creighton University. You must maintain good academic standing to maintain your position as a graduate assistant.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree

• Familiarity and experience with Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, specifically Photoshop and Illustrator, with experience with Premiere and After Effects is a bonus.

• Experience using social media platforms as part of marketing efforts for an athletic department or other organizations: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter

• Ability to work within a team and coordinate with multiple external teams and departments

• Good written communication skills

Major Areas of Responsibility:

• Mentor and work directly with Graphic Design interns.

• Collaborate with other colleagues on creative projects that drive brand awareness, revenue generation, etc.

• Assist with the coverage of athletic events, creative photo shoots, and media days as assigned by Director of Creative Services.

• Complete graphic design projects as scheduled for use on social media, arena/stadium use, marketing materials, and more.

• Assist with gameday presentation elements for select sports.

• Provide creative direction to freelance designers and writers.

• Take on an assistant role in managing team social media accounts during games.

• Other duties as assigned.

Additional Salary Information: This is a two-year role with a $1,250 monthly stipend plus tuition waiver. Preferred start date is January 2027. This position does allow for freelance work as long as it does not conflict with the duties assigned within Creighton Athletics.
