Academics and Student Athlete Development Graduate Assistant

Frostburg State University Athletics Department is accepting applications for the position of graduate assistant for Academics & Student-Athlete Development for fall 2026.

 

FSU boasts 25 varsity sports (11 men/14 women) at the NCAA Division II level that compete in the Mountain East Conference, East Coast Conference, and Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference.

 

Responsibilities: Assist the Assistant Director of Athletics for Academics & Student-Athlete Development & Success in the coordination of programs relating to the student-athlete experience. This position’s primary role will be to coordinate and supervise study tables. Other responsibilities will include but are not limited to meeting with student-athletes, communicating with coaches and advisors, coordinating, and promoting student-athlete events, and developing new programming. Perform other administrative duties as assigned by the Assistant Director of Athletics for Student Development and Success, including driving vans to away games if needed.

 

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree. A 3.0 GPA to be admissible to desired graduate program if offered position.  Ability to innovate, stay organized, and interact with college students in a professional manner.

 

Preferred Qualifications: Work related experience.

 

Compensation: This position is granted 12 credit hours tuition waiver per term and 30 credit hours per 12-month cycle.  A $4,500 stipend is paid per semester.  Graduate program Standards can be accessed at https://www.frostburg.edu/admissions-and-cost/graduate/index.php
