Associate Director, Athletics Event Operations

Job Duty 1 – 

Serve as Women’s Basketball primary event manager and assist other event operations team members as needed including football game day.

 

Job Duty 2 - 
Serve as the secondary facility manager for McCamish Pavilion.

Job Duty 3 – 

Serve as the external events coordinator with responsibilities including: determining client needs and facility availability, and coordinating resources; cultivating, negotiating and executing rental contracts; creating and maintaining marketing materials for potential rental clients; maintaining rental revenue log; and, assisting in the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures for external events and rentals.

 

Job Duty 4 - 

Serve as liaison for department and campus special events, as well as coordinating the facilitation of athletic camp/clinic requests from GT sport programs.

 

Job Duty 5 - 
Assist with all National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) championships hosted by GT Athletics.

Job Duty 6 - 
Oversee assigned operations and facilities budgets.

Job Duty 7 - 
Oversee or work special events and rentals as assigned.

Job Duty 8 - 
Manage special projects as assigned.

Job Duty 9 - 
Partner to develop and execute contingency plans for emergency and severe weather scenarios.

Job Duty 10 - 
Perform other duties as assigned
