Role Summary

Lead and develop the men’s and women’s tennis programs with an emphasis on athlete development, competitive success, academic achievement, and character. Recruit, mentor, and manage student-athletes while representing the college and athletic department positively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit, admit, and retain high-quality student‑athletes

  • Plan and run practices, strength/conditioning, and off‑season programs

  • Develop game plans, scout opponents, and manage scheduling

  • Coordinate team travel, logistics, and game-day operations

  • Monitor academic progress and enforce team policies with integrity

  • Organize community service and student engagement opportunities

  • Ensure compliance with college, conference, and NAIA rules and regulations

  • Manage program budget, equipment, and administrative tasks

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Previous coaching experience (college coaching experience preferred)

  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience working with budgets

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel

  • Availability for evenings and weekends during season

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree

  • Prior head coaching experience at the collegiate level

  • Demonstrated recruiting success and budget management experience

Work Conditions

Travel, evening, and weekend work are routine during the competitive season.
