Midway University, located 14 miles outside Lexington, KY, is actively recruiting a full-time head coach to oversee our Men's Volleyball program. This is a full-time, 12-month position that reports to the Vice President of Athletics and Student Affairs. The head coach will provide leadership in the planning, operation and execution of the program.
Key responsibilities include the following:
Recruiting to achieve roster goals, competitive success, and academic performance in accordance with admissions procedures and scholarship requirements.
Organizing, scheduling, and leading daily practice sessions, game plan preparation and strategy, competitions, and off-season training.
Coordinating travel arrangements for away contests.
Following the policies of Midway University to ensure compliance.
Supporting academic progress and enforcing discipline and sportsmanship behavior.
Hiring, supervising, and evaluating assistant coach and program volunteers.
Budgeting, fundraising, promoting and marketing the program.
Secondary job duty will be assigned based on skill set and institutional need by the Vice-President of Athletics and Student Affairs.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
Previous demonstrated volleyball experience required, with collegiate-level head or assistant coaching experience preferred
Proven recruiting success and ability to build strong relationships with prospective student-athletes
Experience with fundraising, alumni relations, and community engagement
Knowledge of NAIA rules and commitment to compliance
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
