
The United East Conference is accepting applications from qualified individuals for an Assistant Commissioner, Governance & Championships. This position is a remote-based role that will require work on nights and weekends and travel to conference events. The successful candidate will report directly to the Conference Commissioner.
What we’re looking for: Our ideal candidate is a standout personality that possesses leadership experience with SAAC, sport governance and conference championships. This candidate will be eager to show continued growth, exhibit a service-oriented mindset, and be dedicated to developing their leadership skills. The responsibilities of this position will include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Provide sport supervision for assigned conference sports, which includes but is not limited to, facilitation of sport meetings and enforcement of conference and Division III rules.
· Act as Championship Manager for all assigned conference sports while working alongside the Conference Commissioner to support all 21 United East Championships.
· Serve as a primary liaison for the United East Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) including leading in-person meetings, Zoom meetings, and community service events.
· Manage conference-wide payment of game officials and conference film exchange program.
· Assist the Conference Commissioner with annual engagement of conference constituency groups, which includes meeting facilitation and in-person programming.
· Support conference communications efforts and oversight of conference awards program, as needed.
· Represent the United East at various NCAA Division III and conference meetings and events throughout the year.
· Aid in the execution of conference-wide strategic initiatives, which may include working with third-party vendors, data collection, program facilitation, marketing, and promotions.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s Degree Required
· Experience working in a conference office is strongly preferred
· Proven success leading campus or conference SAAC
· Preference considered for candidates located or willing to reside within the conference’s Pennsylvania footprint
· Ability to self-motivate and work independently to produce quality work in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
· Experience with SIDEARM website management system and Adobe Suite will give a candidate an edge.
Compensation: $50,000 with full benefits and employer-sponsored 401(K) retirement.
