
The University Athletic Association at the University of Florida is searching for a Remote Broadcast Engineer to implement and maintain world-class video production, streaming, and broadcast systems. Ensures high quality video delivery across all platforms and provides critical technical support, training, and oversight during productions. Works with broadcast professionals and UF students to ensure a safe environment. Collaborates with the UF College of Journalism’s Division of Media Properties and Technology Advancement Group.
This position requires the incumbent to have technical expertise in video signal flow, encoding, and live production workflows; strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills; be organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated; work independently and as part of a collaborative team; multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment; engage effectively with others of diverse cultures or backgrounds; and work a non-standard work week which will include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Media Technology, Computer Science, or a related field*
Two years of experience in video engineering, live production, or broadcast operations*
Knowledgeable of video standards (SDI, HDMI, IP Video, SMPTE, HDR, 4k/UHD)
Knowledgeable of audio signal flow and synchronization
Preferred Qualifications:
Five years of remote sports production experience
Experience with network infrastructure (VLANs, multicast, QoS, etc)
Experience with computer systems (including hardware, troubleshooting and upgrades)
Dante Level 2 or 3 Certification
Knowledgeable of fiber-based video and audio signal flow
Knowledgeable of NCAA and SEC rules and regulations
