Men's Basketball Administrative Assistant

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock (Little Rock Athletics) is seeking a Men’s Basketball Administrative Assistant. Reporting to the Men’s Basketball Head Coach, the Men’s Basketball Administrative Assistant will work collaboratively with the Men’s Basketball program, including overall Office Management for the basketball staff and the Department, Business Operations, Human Resources, and Sport Programs.

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. In addition, the successful candidate is someone with high energy and a positive attitude who will be flexible and adaptive to change, while demonstrating problem solving skills and the ability to employ ingenuity in their work. Excellent communication, interpersonal, project management, organizational, and leadership skills are desired.

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

o   Associate's Degree

 

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

o   Bachelor’s Degree;

o   Customer Service Experience;

o   Experience in Intercollegiate Athletics/Higher Education setting preferred.


JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

o   Responsible for daily office operations with in the men’s basketball unit;

o   Receive calls, emails and disseminates correspondence to constituents;

o   Prepare reports, letters, forms and documents;

o   Assist in maintaining records in Workday platform for coaches;

o   Manage calendars and other schedules;

o   Assist in execution of duties in multiple areas (Game Operations, Suites, etc.);

o   Assist with preparing/distributing meeting agendas;

o   Take detailed minutes for staff meetings as needed;

o   Provides logistical support for events and meetings.

o   Maintain and purchase supplies in support of unit;

o   Comply with all applicable NCAA, United Athletic Conference (UAC) and UA Little Rock regulations;

o   Other related duties as assigned by the Men’s Basketball Head Coach.

o   Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills;

o   Inspire teams to achieve shared goals.

o   Ability to work nights and weekends.
