Assist with athletic training room operations for the University of Nebraska Athletic Department. Provide prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries to student athletes in the sport of Women’s Flag Football including practice and game coverage, and any required travel. Required to travel with the team which will involve working long hours, nights, weekends, some holidays. Additional sport(s) assignment responsibilities are at the discretion of the Associate AD for Athletic Medicine based on need.

Minimum qualifications: Professional degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Athletic Training from a CAATE accredited program and 1 year of experience as a certified athletic trainer in a collegiate setting. Experience in various athletic training environments. Effective communication skills. BOC/NATA certification and ability to obtain Nebraska State licensure required. Emergency response certification (CPR, basic life support) required. Must have a valid driver’s license and meet University driver eligibility requirements.

Preferred qualifications: 1 year or more experience as full-time, certified athletic trainer within NCAA or professional athletics. Previous experience providing treatment and rehabilitation of injuries to student athletes in an NCAA D-1 Track & Field program. Previous experience in Big Ten Conference. Additional continuing education certification (CES, PES, etc.) Criminal history background check and driving record check will be conducted.
