
The division of Athletics at North Alabama is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach. This position is responsible for developing a comprehensive program for the training of student-athletes to maximize their potential for athletic performance and injury prevention; collaborating with coaches and athletic trainers to organize and design strength, power, speed, agility, and flexibility programs for student-athletes; maintaining safety, hygiene, and efficiency of the weight facility; supervising individual and team workouts; displaying a positive attitude, demonstrating enthusiasm, providing positive energy, and communicating effectively with student-athletes, coaches, and staff. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
Minimum qualifications include: a bachelor’s degree is required; a minimum of three years of experience as a strength and conditioning coach, including technique instructions and program design, required; three or more years of collegiate experience, preferred; familiarity with NCAA rules and regulations, preferred; and experience with supervision of staff is preferred. In addition, a current, valid driver’s license in good standing is required; certification through a nationally accredited strength and conditioning certification program, is required; and first aid, CPR, and AED certification, renewed annually, is required.
