
The Director of Operations for volleyball reports to the head coach and oversees the day-to-day operations of the program, supporting team travel, on-campus recruiting, match-day planning, and supervision of student employees. This role coordinates off-court player development, including student-athlete NIL and internship opportunities, manages video operations and analytics to support scouting and player development, and provides budget and operational oversight for scholarships, NIL programs, and revenue-sharing allocations. This position also organizes special events, donor relations, and program promotion, working closely with coaching staff and sport administrators to ensure the successful operation and development of the volleyball program in compliance with University, ACC, and NCAA rules.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree required (or foreign degree equivalent) with at least 1 year of experience in relevant independent instructional or educational activities; specific minimum experience is at the discretion of the Director of Athletics.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Thorough knowledge of the sport of volleyball; strong interpersonal communications skills; knowledge of and familiarity with NCAA rules and regulations required. Must have a valid NC Driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Prefer strong computer skills and experience working in an intercollegiate athletics environment.
Special Physical/Mental Requirements
May be required to lift/move 25 lbs or greater. May be required to navigate stairs. Must be able to manage a fast-paced, high volume work environment. Attention to detail essential. Ability to work evenings, nights and weekends as required. Travel required.
