Primary Function: Advances the fundraising goals of UNI Athletics by cultivating relationships with lapsed and prospective donors; identifies, engages, solicits, and stewards individuals capable of making leadership-level gifts to support the Athletics VIP Fund, Competitive Excellence Funds, capital projects, and sport-specific initiatives; and leverages a variety of communication channels and works closely with the Athletics fundraising team to grow the donor pipeline and meet defined fundraising metrics.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree plus at least one year of fundraising, marketing, communication, sales, athletic administration, or related experience required. Demonstrated success in goal achievement, planning and personal solicitation; self-motivation, curiosity and eagerness to learn about and engage with a wide variety of people and to efficiently organize large amounts of information in meaningful, results-oriented ways; exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong understanding of digital communication tools and the knowledge and ability to create and adapt communications for different platforms and audiences; willingness to co-create, learn, and grow an emerging approach to donor engagement; ability to think strategically; and strong problem solving skills preferred. Student experience will be considered. Frequent work performed outside of normal work hours and significant travel for donor stewardship and solicitation will be necessary. Must abide by the rules of the NCAA, the Missouri Valley Conference, the Missouri Valley Football Conference, Big 12 Conference, and the University of Northern Iowa.
